Sarah Jelken

Sarah Jelken is the Vice President, Industrial Segment Leader for Cargill Starches, Sweeteners and Texturizers North America. Prior to this role Sarah spent 14 years in Cargill in a variety of general management and trading/merchandising/risk management roles. These include serving as assistant vice president - starch product line leader, and the General Manager for Cargill’s trading and soy crush business in Lusaka, Zambia.

Before joining Cargill in 2008, Sarah spent 5 years as quality manager in a specialized agency of the United Nations in Bern, Switzerland. Sarah has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and a BS in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech. Sarah served as the global chair of the Cargill Women’s Network. She also mentors veterans entering the work force, post-military career, through American Corporate Partners. She and her husband Chad currently reside in Victoria, MN and she has two stepsons, Riley and Gavin.
