Veronica has a passion for making a positive impact and helping strengthen local food companies and food systems in Africa.
After living and studying in countries outside Africa, she realized the need for Africa to develop to its maximum potential and become a breadbasket for the world. Achieving this will have a deep impact on the continent, both socially and economically, and can drive sustainable development in many sectors.
Veronica worked for several years in food ingredients and technical sales for major distribution companies in East Africa. She has also served in research and quality analyst roles.
Veronica holds a degree in Food Science and Technology from Egerton University and earned a International Master of Science degree in sustainable management of food quality and nutrition through a collaborative program with four European universities in France, Spain, Portugal and Italy.
Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, experiencing different food cultures by traveling, reading and is a published author.
