Johnson knows it’s the simple things that can make or break a business, and he’s passionate about providing small businesses with the technical and business solutions that they need to succeed. By connecting business owners with the expertise of PFS volunteers, he hopes to help establish a critical mass of change leaders in Africa. He’s confident that will help contribute to food security through sustainable change in technology and business practices. Johnson knows what he’s talking about. He worked for TechnoServe for seven years as a food technologist and program manager. A good chunk of that time was working in partnership with PFS on the Solutions for African Food Enterprises program funded by USAID. He has lived and studied all over the world; earning various degrees and certificates from University of Nairobi, University of Reading in the United Kingdom, and Kansas State University just to name a few. Johnson loves to golf, read and spend time with his wife and three kids. Not surprisingly for someone with his background in connecting businesses with volunteer experts, he’s also a volunteer in his community.
